Raymond J. Hutyra, age 56, of West died Wednesday morning, December 19, 1990 in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West, with full military honors. Mr. Hutrya was born August 30, 1934 in West and had lived there all of his life. He graduated from West High School in 1953. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force from 1954 to 1957. Mr. Hutyra was employed as a machinist for Wolf Manufacturing Company in West and Waco for 35 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #4819 of West, the American Legion in West, the West Bass Club and the Sports Anglers Club, SPJST Lodge #54 and he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of West. Mr. Hutyra married Georgie Bajer, August 19, 1961 in West. He is survived by his wife of West; five sons, Douglas and Mark Hutyra both of Irving, Gregory Hutyra of Arlington, Stephen and David Hutyra both of West; two daughters, Donna and Debbie Hutyra both of West; two brothers, Emil Hutyra of Tours and Roy Hutyra of West; three sisters, Evelyn Whitener of Missouri, Dorothy Podsednik of Houston and Ida Drozd of West, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mike Hutyra, Roy James Hutyra, Anthony Hutyra, Johnny Hutyra, John Podsednik, Benny Matus, Chip Bajer and Marion Wachel, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were all nieces and nephews, members of V.F.W.
