Henry E. Hutyra, 59, of Ross died Saturday, October 10, in a Waco hospital. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, Monsignor George Doskocil officiating. Military burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Hutyra was born April 25, 1922, in McLennan County. He lived in Ross most of his life and was married to Martha Mynar in 1946. A veteran of World War II, he worked at General Tire and Rubber Co. for 31 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 478 in West and of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Henry Hutyra, Jr. of Chilton, Joe Hutyra of Waco and Harry Lee Hutyra of Elm Mott; four daughters, Martha Maynard and Annette Hutyra, both of Elm Mott, Nancy Mathis of Riesel and Darlene Graham of Bellmead; three brothers, Emil Hutyra of Tours, Raymond Hutyra and Ray Hutyra, both of West; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Matus of West, Evelyn Whitener of Washington, Mo., Dorothy Podsednik and Mary Wachel, both of Houston; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were George Mikuda, Felix Mynar, Jr., Greg Hutyra, Michael Wayne Hutyra, Charlie Hutyra and Benny Matus. Honorary pallbearers were members of American Legion Post No. 478.
