Mrs. Anna Gerik Buried Tuesday Mrs. Anna Gerik, age 73, pioneer resident of this community, passed away in a Waco hospital at 6:12 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Catholic Church in West, the Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Born in Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Gerik came to the United States when she was four years of age. The family has resided on their farm two miles west of this city for the past 53 years. Her husband passed away four years ago. Pallbearers were 6 grandsons, Raymond and Edmond Koppa, Ernest and Adolph Poehls, Freddie and Edward J. Gerik. Survivors include five sons, Max, Rudolph and Adolph, all of West, Vince of Waco and John of Dallas; six daughters, Mrs. Adelle Poehls of Caldwell, Mrs. Mary Dvorak and Mrs. Margaret Scott of West, Mrs. Agnes Koppa, Mrs. Ann Yates, Mrs. Molly Frazier, all of Waco; one brother, Frank Vavra of Blessing; one sister, Mrs. Joanna Charanza of Crockett.
