Death Certificate and headstone have date of birth as January 6, 1882; WW I Draft Reg. and WW II Draft Reg. have date of birth as 19 Feb 1884; 1900 Census has date of birth as Feb 1884. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conrad Grellhesl Sr., 98, of West, formerly of Tours, died Saturday morning, December 6 in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 7 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, the Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Mr. Grellhesl was born January 6, 1882, in Germany. He came to the United States when he was 6 years old and lived in Tours most of his life. He lived in West the past 14 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. Survivors include four sons, Conrad Grellhesl Jr., August Grellhesl and William Grellhesl, all of West, and Fred Grellhesl of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Stone and Mrs. Agnes Neighbors, both of Dallas, Mrs. George (Annie) Hubik of Temple, and Mrs. Frank (Rosalie) Hutyra of West; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
