Bio
Rosalie W. Hutyra, age 95, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 19, 2012 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mrs. Hutyra was born November 24, 1917 in Tours, the daughter of Conrad and Mary (Seith) Grellhesl. She attended schools in West. On October 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Frank J. Hutyra Jr. in West. Frank preceded her in death on May 24, 1994. Rosalie was a seamstress for Lorch Manufacturing in West for 27 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of the K.J.Z.T. St. Ludmila Society #11. Rosalie is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, August Grellhesl, Conrad Grellhesl, Alfonse Grellhesl, and Fred Grellhesl; and sisters, Hattie Stone, Agnes Neighbors, and Annie Hubik. Survivors include a son, Edward Hutyra and wife Shirley of Joshua; a daughter, Evelyn Lassetter and husband Don of Midland; brother, William “Bill” Grellhesl and wife Christine grandchildren, Jarel Hutyra, Julie Shields and husband Dale, Katherine Blaine and husband Geoff, Jeremy Lassetter, and Justin Lassetter; great grandchildren, Jared Hutyra, Jackie Arndt and husband Chris, Jacob Shields, and Hannah Shields; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Jeremy Lassetter, Justin Lassetter, Jarel Hutyra, Dale Shields, Geoff Blaine and Chris Arndt. Honorary pallbearers are Jared Hutyra and Jacob Shields. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund or West Rest Haven Memorial Fund.
