William Louis Fajkus, 87, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed on to be with our Lord on July 24, 2008. He was a World War II veteran who proudly served our country in the Philippines. William was a resident of over 60 years in Houston and also had 30 years' experience in the grocery industry. He enjoyed the Astros, gardening, cards, dominos and cooking. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian. William is survived by his children, Bill and wife Linda, Pauline Harmon, Gerald, Danny and wife Judy, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Advantage Howard-Glendale Chapel, 1015 Federal Road. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, 208 W. Pearl St. in LaGrange, Texas, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum, Texas. Interment will follow in Plum Cemetery.
