FLATONIA - Emil L. Fajkus, 74, of Flatonia, died Monday, March 8, 2004. He was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Flatonia, to the late Louis and Julia Nikel Fajkus. He was a heavy equipment operator and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha. Survivors: wife, Rita Okruhlik Fajkus; sons, Robert Fajkus of Kovar and Earl Fajkus of Waxahachie; sister, Angelina Banik of Crosby; brothers, Bill Fajkus of Houston and Al Fajkus of Kyle; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will begin noon today at Smith Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha, the Rev. Edward Bartsch officiating. Burial will be at Praha Catholic Cemetery.
