Bio

Reuben Kemp Jr. was the son of Reuben and Marcey Kemp. He was born near the Falls of the Ohio River. His first Wife was Elizabeth Royalty, she died very shortly after the marriage. His second wife was Rhoda Cooper. Reuben and Rhoda were some of the very first people buried in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. I think their graves were marked at one time but the stones are now so weathered the inscriptions are unreadable.
