Bio

Henry Kemp was the son of Reuben and Marcey Kemp. He came to Dubois County, Indiana in 1816 with his oldest sister, Virginia Jane Kemp, and her husband William Hendrickson. Three of Henry Kemp's sons served in the Civil War, William, Silas, and John. Henry's oldest son, Benjamin was Representative from Dubois County.
