John Roessler, 78, Dies Rites To Be Friday John F. Roessler, 78, of Tours, died Wednesday afternoon in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours with Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery. He was born at Westphalia and lived in Tours the past 37 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Clare Roessler; three sons, Henry Roessler and John A. Roessler, both of West, and Herman Roessler of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Annie) Schroeder of Leroy, Mrs. Irvin (Mary) Podsednik of Fort Worth and Mrs. Raymond (Ann) Gerik of Killeen; three brothers, Ben Roessler, Martin Roessler and Michael Roessler, all of Westphalia; six sisters, Sister M. Helen, Sister M. Rosalie and Sister M. Rosalia, all of Houston, Mrs. Frank (Clara) Jansing and Miss Emma Roessler, both of Westphalia and Mrs. Helen Kinyon of Oakland, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
