Bio

Fred Joe Uptmor Sr., 59, of Tours died at 6 p.m. Friday in his home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Mr. Uptmor was born in Tours and had lived there all his life. He was a farmer and an employee of General Tire and Rubber Co. in Waco for the past 19 years. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours. Survivors are his wife; seven sons, Fred Uptmor Jr. of West, Norman Uptmor of Arlington, Ambrose Uptmor and Aubrey Uptmor, both of Elm Mott, Maurice Uptmor of Mesquite, Laurel Uptmor of Arlington and Billy Uptmor of Tours; three daughters, Mrs. Eddie Grones of Elm Mott, Mrs. Robert Altus of Lacy Lakeview and Miss Betty Uptmor of Tours; three brothers, William Uptmor of California, George Uptmor and Henry Uptmor, both of West; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Willenborg of West and Mrs. Ernest Heine of Waco; 17 grandchildren.
