Charles J. Uptmor Of Tours Dies; Rites Friday Charles John Uptmor, 61, of Rt. 2, West, died Wednesday, May 9 at 3:30 p.m. of a heart attack at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11 at St. Martin's Church in Tours at 10 a.m. Rev. Ed Geiser will officiate with burial in St. Martin's Cemetery at Tours. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold-Moore Funeral Chapel. Mr. Uptmor was born June 7, 1900. He had been a dairy farmer in Tours for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tillie Uptmor of Rt. 2, West; one son, Weldon Uptmor; four daughters, Ruby Vrba of Waco, Charlene Scheler of Rt. 2, West, Marcia Sulak of Rockdale and Joyce Slovak of Grand Prairie; four brothers, George, Henry, Fred, and Will Uptmor, all of West; two sisters, Annie Willenborg of West and Agnes Heine of Waco; and 15 grandchildren.
