This is my father.
J.P. was born on April 30, 1911, to Nathan Blackburn "Jake" Curlee and Cyntha Alice Eastep Curlee in Kaufman County, Texas. In 1917, he moved with his family to Jackson County and settled on a farm near what then was known as the Matilda Booster Station, where the family lived for a number of years. J.P. lost his mother in 1918 at the tender age of 7. His two beloved older sisters, Vera and Ethel, along with his older brothers, Roy Dave, Jesse, Calvin, and Tom, helped raise him, and all called him by "Honey." J.P. served as a PFC in the United States Army during WWII. On May 10, 1947, J.P. married the true love of his life, Marguerite Dorcas Phillips Bart, and had six children. He was a wonderful husband and father. We miss you, Daddy. NOTE: Bio written by daughter, Debbie Boudar.
