The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, March 15, 1951; pg. 1 OBITUARY Miss Elizabeth Kimminau Funeral services were held at St. Stephens Monday morning March 12, at 9:00 a.m. for Miss Elizabeth Kimminau. The Rev. B.J. Haskamp offered the High Mass of Requiem and officiated at the interment services in St. Stephens cemetery. Miss Elizabeth Kimminau, daughter of Bernard and Mary Kimminau was born at Ferdinand, Indiana, Dec. 7, 1863 and came to Festina, Iowa with her parents where they remained for about 18 years, then came to Nebraska in May 1885. After her parents death she made her home with her brother Henry. She passed away March 9 at 4:45 p.m. at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 2 days at the home of her brother Henry. She had been in poor health for several years and bedfast the past winter. She was preceded in death by her parents one sister Theresa Steffens, four brothers John, WIlliam, Frank, and Bernard. She leaves to mourn her loss, three brothers, Henry, Herman, and Joseph, all of Lawrence, and a large number nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased, Ben, Bruno, Wm., Clem, Hubert Kimminau and Herman Steffens. Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs Ben Kimminau of Hastings, Mr. ad Mrs. John Wermeskerek of Assumption, Joe Kimminau of Superior, Mr and Mrs Joe Wiengard and Herman Steffens of Red Cloud.
