Bio

David Isaac Watson, 62, retired farmer, died suddenl at his home in Benedict, about 5 p.m. Firday. Mr. Watson was born Oct. 2, 1908 in Corydon, Ind., the son of Shelvie and Etney Watson. He was married to Mercedes Kohn on Nov. 29, 1934 at Benedict. Mr. Watson was a member of East Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors, besides his wife include his two sons, Harry Lee of Lincoln, Daryl David of Benedict; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Judith Ann) Hewitt of York; four grandchildren; two brothers, Roy and Earl, both of Benedict; two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Audrey) Nelson of Stromsburg, and Mrs. Harry P. (Margaret) Smith of York. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at East Avenue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in York's Greenwood Cemetery.
