Wednesday, February 9, 1927 Shelvie Isaac Watson passed away this morning at six o'clock at the Lutheran hospital after a short illness. He was 45 years of age. Mr. Watson was born March 20, 1884 at Corydon, Indiana and has been a resident of York county for several years. The Watson home is southwest of Benedict. He is survived by his widow and five children. (The York Daily News Times) Son of Isaac Owen Watson and Sarah Francis Harper. The stone incorrectly states his date of birth as 1881.
