Bio

Martha Jane was the daughter of Samuel Duncan Wells and Matilda Brunk Wells.She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Monroe. Martha Jane was the youngest daughter of a family of ten, all her brothers and sisters preceeding her in death. She was married to Francis M. Morris 3-27-1868. To this union were born four children, John who died in his sixth year, Mrs. Will Monroe with whom she made her home for many years, and two sons that died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death November 24, 1880.
