Bio

Mrs. Amanda Kifer Kuhns, wife of the late Mr. Joseph Kuhns, was born in Monroe township, Clarion County, March 14, 1834, and died Oct 11, 1919. She was the daughter of Adam and Susannah (Drumheller) Kifer. She was married to Joseph Kuhns Dec. 14, 1858. To this union were born four children: J. C., Edwin H., Clara M. and J. H. Kuhns. The daughter, now Mrs. Clara Gibson, of Oil City, and one son Harry, of Sligo, and sixteen grandchildren survive. She has three sisters and one brother living. Mrs. Kuhns has been a member of the Reidsburg Baptist Church since her your womanhood and was always interested in its welfare. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. John Ballentine, of the Clarion Normal School. Six grandsons were pall bearers. Mrs. S. C. Kuhns wishes to thank her neighbors and friends who assisted her during her mother's last illness.
