Bio

Daughter of John Adam Kifer and Susannah Drumheller, never married. Jeffersonian Democrat, November 7, 1929 MISS KATE KIFER Miss Kifer was born on November 5, 1832, on a farm near Reidsburg, Clarion county, where she lived on active, consistent Christian life, always helpful and considering the interest of others, until about 16 years ago, when she came to make her home in the Memorial Home in Brookville, having had two brothers in the Civil War. She was one of a family of nineteen children, of whom only one, Mrs. S.F. Finefrock, survives her. She was a member of the Baptist church. Her body was interred on November 5, 1929, her ninety-sixth birthday, in the Brookville cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.S. Radcliffe, on account of illness in her pastor's family.
