Mrs. Nancy Finnefrock, possibly Brookville's oldest woman resident, died at her home on Jefferson street, Brookville, Sunday afternoon, August 25, 1935, at three o'clock, following an illness of a year, death resulting from the infirmities of age. Until her final illness, Mrs. Finnefrock was active in church and community affairs, being remarkably alert and gifted with a splendid mentality which seemed to thrive with the advancing years. She was particularly interested in the missionary activities of her own church. Married into a family of unusual longevity, she outlived her husband a number of years, though her mother-in-law, who resided in Venango County, only died several years ago after passing the century mark. Mrs. Finnefrock was a native of Reidsburg, Clarion County, born on March 25, 1846, a daughter of Adam and Susan (Drumheller) Kifer. She was united in marriage to Samuel Finnefrock, of Williamsburg, Clarion County, in Brookville, April 7, 1881, and spent most of her married life in that place. Funeral services were held Tuesday, with Rev. William A. Thornton, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Interment was made in the Brookville Cemetery. The Clarion Democrat (PA), Thu, Sep. 5, 1935. Pg 1. ********** NOTE: Most census records record the spelling as "Finnefrock". However, death certificate spells it Finefrock as the marker obviously does. ***
