Died at 8:54 a.m. August 11, 1981, at his residence in Plaquemine. He was 61, a native of Deerford and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Wilbert's Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until religious services at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by his wife, Rita Mae Charles Redden, Plaquemine: three daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Rita Mae) Crow, Plaquemine, Mrs. Mark (Teresa) Babin, Lake Charles, and Mrs. Dorothy Kent, Baton Rouge; four sons, Johnny W. Redden, Jr., Abbeville, Norman Edwards Redden, Monroe, Charles S. and Michael Anthony Redden, both of Plaquemine; a stepson, Darrol Walker, Texas; two sisters, Vinia Bacon and Pearl Harrelson both of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Dula Redden, Pride, Leonard Redden, Zachary, Bill Redden, Hardin, Montana; eleven grandchildren. He was a member of the Steam and Pipefitter's Local and the Exxon Travel Club.
