Pearl Lena Redden Harelson, 85 DEATHS Advocate, The (Baton Rouge, LA) - Thursday, January 5, 1995 Died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in Baker. She was 85, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Deerford. Visiting was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 10 a.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Carroll Marr. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Lorraine Nickens, Baton Rouge, and Susan Drago, Baker; a son, Frankie Harelson, Westlake; three brothers, William Redden, Hardin, Mont., Leonard Redden and Dula Redden, both of Pride; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Norman "Shorty" Harelson. Pallbearers will be Wilford "Lonnie" Nickens, Rocky Nickens, Lance Nickens, Ray Branum, Joseph Branum and Frankie Harelson Jr. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
