Died at 5 p..m. Monday, April 30, 1984, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 67, a native of Pride, and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 8 a.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Albritton. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Oliver H. Bacon, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Dorothy Johnson, Baker, Mamie Watts, Atlanta, Ga., and Carole Rose Abadie, Irving, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Harelson, Baton Rouge; three brothers, W.C. Redden, Hardin, Mont., L.J. Redden, Zachary, and Dula Redden, Pride; eight grandchildren, Rusty Payne, Walker, Connie Golden, Israel, Rene Garrett and Lisa Stewart, Arlington, Texas, Kell Johnson, Baker, Gary Watts, Atlanta, Wesley John Abadie and Sherry Lynn Abadie, both of Irving; six great grandchildren, Adrian Golden, Baton Rouge, Randy and Mica Garrett, both of Arlington, Charity and Joel Golden, both of Israel, and Rusty Payne, Walker. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie W. Redden, grandson, Tommie Johnson; four brothers, Eddie S., Donnie, George and Jack Redden; and two sisters, Mamie James and Ruby Redden. Pallbearers will be T.K. Johnson, Carroll Watts, Roy J. Abadie, Morris McAllister, Percy Davis and Wesley Johnson. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Greater Baton Rouge, 650 Steele Blvd., 70806.
