He married to Bessie COKER Jan 14 1907 in SOUTHERN DISTRICT INDIAN TERRITORY (OK). He was the son of Melvin Meyers and Sina (Wilkey) Dawson. His children were: Melvin Levy, Opal Viola Dawson-Council, Sherman Clyde, Burnice S., Ethel Dawson-Davis-Pedigo, and Cletus Leo Dawson. Some records show that he was born in OK. and some records say he was born in Choctaw Nation Indian Territory and some records say ARKANSAS. Death record says Arkansas.
