Bartlesville Daily Enterprise, Dec. 8, 1929 Mrs. Dawson Funeral Today Funeral sevices for Mrs. Sana (Sina) Dawson, 81 years old, who died Wed. at her home, 46 Adaline St. will be held at 2:30 o"clock Friday afternoon from the McCallister Chapel. The Rev. Pitzer will officiate. Burial will be in White Rose. She had 10 children, and was married to Melvon Myers Dawson Nov 12, 1866. Melvon is buried at Oakland Cemetery near Madill, Marshall, Oklahoma. Burial was in Block 5 Lot 11 Space 5. (Mcallister Funeral Home is no longer in business.) Melvin and Sina were both members of the Church of The Brethren for many years. Funeral Card: In Loving Remembrance Gone But Not Forgotten A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which Never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled, The boon his love had given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven. Imagine my surprise when Sue sent me a copy of the handwritten obituary that Sina wrote for her husband, Melvin. For 83 years her grave lay unmarked, but now thanks to Susie and Mary two descendants, she now has a stone. Proof that descendants do not forget their loved ones!!!
