Bio
Bobby Jack Covey, born on January 17, 1928 in Wellington, Texas peacefully passed away on July 15, 2023 in Torrance, California at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Teresa Beth Covey, and his son, David Neil Covey. He is survived by his loving family; daughter, Sandra Lynn Schniepp and husband Tom Schniepp, his son, John Allen Covey; granddaughters, Amy Iboy and husband Freddy Iboy, Jennifer Sherry and husband Cale Sherry, Sarah Schniepp and Emily Schniepp; and great grandsons, Rowan Iboy and Atlas Iboy. "Jack" is remembered as a kind, soft spoken and loving father. He was an aeronautical engineer, and was very interested in all things related to airplanes. He was an avid golfer, and also participated in square dancing with Teresa. In their later years, both were very involved in volunteer work at a local elementary school. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when his ashes will be respectfully delivered into the sea off the California coastline. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
