R.A. "Peck" Covey September 17, 1922 - May 14, 2014 RA "Peck" Covey 91, of Amarillo died Wednesday May 14, 2014 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dr. Randy Davis, pastor of Lifeway Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Hollis, OK at 3:00 pm. Peck was born on September 17, 1922 in Arlie, Texas to Rubin and Della Covey. He enlisted in the Army where he served in World War II. Peck worked as a supervisor at Pantex for many years. He enjoyed remodeling houses, square dancing and fishing, he also enjoyed coaching children in Kids, Inc. Peck married the love of his life Cathryn Swaim on January 16, 1949 in Wellington. He was preceded in death by two sons Eddie Gene Covey and Ronnie Covey. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of the home; a daughter Susanne Gay and husband Steve of Highland Village, TX, a brother Bobby Jack Covey of Torrance, CA and a sister Lucille Motsenbocker of Wellington, TX.
