Bio
Clement Maria Hofbauer was born June 12, 1904 in Tours, Texas to Joseph and Louisa Wanke Hofbauer. At the age of 11 he and his family moved to Muenster, Texas and bought a farm 1 mile south of town. He lived there all the rest of his life. He married his neighbor, Helen Kleiss on August 29, 1929. They lived their whole married life on the same farm that he grew up on. They had 5 children, Mary Evelyn Hermes, Irma Rose Fuhrmann, Denis Clem Hofbauer, Giles Hofbauer (Died at birth) and Dale John Hofbauer. Clem was a retired farmer and still helped his sons with tractor and truck driving during harvesting. He spent many years singing with the Sacred Heart Men's Choir. He was the best papo in the whole wide world.
