SSGT US AIR FORCE KOREA He graduated from Roscoe High School and attended Tarleton State College. He then joined the Air Force and was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa Florida. While in the military he met and married the love of his life Evelyn Selena Cone, they married on Saturday, December 13, 1952 at Ballast Point Baptist Church in Tampa Florida. He made the rank of Staff Sergeant, while serving during the Korean War. Doc and Evelyn moved back to Roscoe where he had his TV repair shop. Doc then went to work at TXU in Colorado City, which soon became his home. He loved photography and even had a dark room to develop his pictures. He spent many years working at the Circle 6 Ranch in Stanton and with the Campers on Mission after he retired. He was a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Colorado City and for many years was a Deacon and in charge of the T.V. Ministry. He loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he loved a good steak.
