rs. W. R.Harris, who died in a local hospital Wednesday morn ing at 10:45 o'clock of injuries received in the accident, was born on March 20, 1877, in Dallas County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Sylvester Kinchen. She was Miss Virgie May Kinchen before her marriage to Mr., Harris in Dallas on December 23,. 1896. They resided in Dallas County until 1909, when they moved to the Stockard community. The family has resided within a mile of where they first settled in that community since moving there. She joined the Baptist Church in 1917 and had been an active member of the church since then. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Carl Firman Harris of Stockard and Irby Lawrence Harris of Memphis, Tenn., three daughters; Mrs. Alma Honor Conway, Stockard, and miss Lucille Hawkins and Mrs. Jeanette Bethea, both of Dallas; two brothers, Irby Kinchen Of Sampson community and Carl Kinchen of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister mrs Alma Johnson of Dallas and seven grandchildren. Joint funeral services for Mrs.W. R. Harris, Mrs C. F. Harris. Mrs. Vernon L. Caddell and Miss lola Margaret Caddell, all of Stockard who were killed in a highway accident Wednesday morning near Opelika on Highway 31 will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stockard Baptist Church. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Tucker, pastor of the church; the Rev. E. B. Shivers, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Frankston and former pastor of the Stockard church; the Rev. Thurmond George, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Duncan, Oklahoma, and the Rev, Walter Floyd, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Athens. Interment will be in the respective family plots in the Payne Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs, W. R. Harris will be grandsons: Richard Bethea, Billy Bethea, Carol Conway, Bobby Hawkins, Joe Dudley Hughes and Eldon Eugene Hughes Pallbearers for Mrs. C. F. Harris, Mrs. Cadell and Miss Caddell, will be Buddy Dixon, Lester Bagett, Walter Davis, John Smith, Ira Armstrong, Reagan Tarrent, Tom Reynolds, Ollie McClellan, Cole Warren, Barney Warren, Deorous January, Gene Abbott, Clarence Richardson, Richard Benge, Coy Sparks, Malcolm Sparks, W. W. Payne and Joe Cook, all of the Stockard community. The Carroll & Lehr Funeral , Home is in charge of arrange ments .
