Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Haymon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Believers Bible Church, Pitkin, with Reverend Brian Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery, Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Haymon, 88, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Allen Parish Hospital, Kinder, LA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, worshiping the Lord and singing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Louanna Perkins; her husband, James Pinkney Haymon; two sons, James Lee Haymon and John David Haymon; and two daughters, Doris Ann Haymon and Louan Haymon. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Jesse Haymon, of Pitkin; one daughter, Dorothy Causey, of DeRidder; two sisters, Beatrice Clark, of Oakdale and Gracie Johnson, of Oakdale; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
