In Memoriam NANCY VIRGINIA LAWRENCE May 6, 1892 ~ August 1, 1977 Nancy Virginia Lawrence, 85, died Monday in the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. Born May 6, 1892 in Lodi, Ark., she had been a resident of McCurtain County more than 50 years and was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two sons, William Franklin Lawrence, Jr., of Idabel and Earney Lawrence of Houston, Tex.; six daughters, Willie Hoover of Madera, Cal., Lillian Simpson of Broken Bow, Fay Gates, Edith Marshall, both of Idabel; Dessie Stinnett and Sylvia Llewellyn, both of Owasso; three step sons, Claude and Freeman Lawrence, both of Arkansas, and Dick Lawrence of Winters, Calif.; one step daughter, Alta Ward of Cove, Ark.; 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Doyle Nation, assisted by the Rev. H. Dayne Freeman, officiating. Arrangements and burial in the Bethel Cemetery are under the direction of Coffey-Ruiz Funeral Home.
