Bio

Stella Wright, 87, Rt. 2, Somerset, died Monday, September 3, in Somerset Center, following an illness of some four and one-half years. A native of Kentucky, she was born October 31, 1892, of parents, Catherine Smith and William Riley Smith, both of whom preceded her in death. Her husband, Henry Wright, also preceded her. Survivors include sons, Everett, Charlie and Stephen Wright all of Somerset, and William Riley Wright Norwood, Ohio; daughters, Kathleen Linville, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Christine Barnes and Mellia Creech, both of Somerset; one brother, Bradley Smith, Somerset; two sisters, Mellia Hail, California, and Julie Boyd, Somerset; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Winters conducting the memorial. Burial was in the Pleasant Run Cemetery. Pulaski Funeral Home, Somerset, was in charge of arrangements. Commonwealth Journal, Thursday, September 6, 1979.
