Charles "Dicky" Wright, 72, Noman's Lane, Somerset, died suddenly Wednesday, September 5, at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland. He was born in Shopville on August 5, 1918, son of the late Henry Monroe and Stella Mae Smith Wright. He was a farmer and self-employed home builder, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, former member of Somerset Lions Club and Somerset Home Builders Association, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Harmon Wright, whom he married March 25, 1941* in Somerset; two sons, Charles Lee Wright, Jasper Bend and Robert H. Wright, Somerset; three brothers, Everett Wright, Goodwater, Steven Wright, Dahl, and Riley Wright, Norwood, Ohio; three sisters, Christine Barnes, Goodwater, Mellia Creech, Acorn, and Kathlene Linville, Cincinnati; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, at Oak Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
