Lewis E. Prachyl, Major, U.S. Army, Retired, died on Monday, November 2, 2020, in Ennis, Texas. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Lewis was born on August 17, 1926, in Bardwell, Texas, to the late Frank J. and Janie Lanicek Prachyl, He married Sara Connolly on June 4, 1949, in Holy Redeemer Church, Ennis, Texas. He was preceded in death by his brother, George; and sisters: Helen, Emily, Wilma, and Janie. Survivors include his wife, Sara Prachyl; sons: David Prachyl, Paul Gregory Prachyl, Martin Prachyl and his wife, Juanette; daughters, Deborah Hawk and her husband, Curtis, and Judith Hejny and her husband, James; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Adele and Georgia; other relatives and many friends.
