Bio

Funeral services for Riley C. Wellman, 87, of LaCamp will be held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 3, 2004 in the LaCamp United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. John Burns, Gary Floyd and Kevin Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Wellman died Sunday, Aug. 1, at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Oleta Boswell Wellman of LaCamp; two sons, Wendell Wellman of Leesville and Elray Wellman of La Camp: three daughters, Hannah Leonard, Glenda Lewis and Shandra Hood, all of Leesville; four brothers, Wayford "Slim" Wellman of Kirbyville, Texas, Herman Wellman of Hineston, Morgan Wellman of LaCamp and L.E. Wellman of Kirbyville, Texas; three sisters, Laurel Monk of LaCamp, Myrtie Welch of Leesville and Bernice Lukasik of Leesville, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
