Myrtie Emma Wellman Welch Leesville, LA - Celebration of Life services for Mertie Emma Wellman Welch, 89, will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Castor Baptist Church with Bro. Morris Goins and Bro. Jerry Twyman under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville, Louisiana. Interment will follow immediately in the Castor Cemetery, Leesville, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from the hours of 6-9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Myrtie was born September 15, 1922, in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, to the late William Clifford and Frances Emmaline Bedgood Wellman and was called to her Heavenly home July 23, 2012, in Leesville, Louisiana. Myrtie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several siblings. Left to cherish Myrtie's memories and tell her beautiful stories will be her daughter; Barbara Welch Busby and husband J.L., one son; James Welch and wife Shirley, two brothers; W.C. (Slim) Wellman and wife Doris, and L.E. Wellman and wife Diane along with numerous extended family members and many great friends. Honoring Myrtie as pallbearers will be Kirby Busby, Trace Busby, Kyle Busby, Carl Welch, Wayne Welch and Dwayne Poe.
