Herald Coaster, January 29, 2000: Funeral services for Gertrude Susan Huff Lile were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in the state room at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Interment followed at 1 p.m, with pastor Ken Hamrick officiating. Ms. Lile passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2000 at Willow Bend Care Center in Mesquite. She was born Oct. 5, 1908 in Bleiblerville, Tx. to Joseph Susan and Frances Kasparek. Rev. Anton Motyeka baptized her on Dec. 25, 1908 in the Nelsonville Brethren Church She was a member of the Methodist Church at Corpus Christi and a member of SPJST #81 in Needville. She attended school in Guy. She married Ernest Huff on Oct. 20, 1926, and on Dec. 19, 1966, she married Guy Lile. Ms. Lile is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Huff Sherrell of Mesquite; two grandsons, Rick Sherrell and wife, Brenda, of Garland, and Lonnie Sherrell and wife, Rexanne, of Plano; four great-grandchildren, Jason Sherrell and Jennifer Sherrell of Garland, and Bryan Sherrell and Cody Sherrell of Plano; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; her parents; two sisters, Cecilie Zettel and Annie Balis; and two brothers, Alfred and Ed Susan.
