Herald Coaster, June 23, 1997: Funeral services for Edward Stanley Susan, 91, of Needville, will be held Wed., June 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial in Rosenberg. Father Paul Felix will officiate the services. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tues., June 24, at the Davis Chapel in Needville. Mr. Susan was born May 7, 1906 in Nelsonville, Texas, and passed away June 22, 1997 in Richmond. He was a loving father, caring grandfather, and respected friend. Mr. Susan lived in Guy for 55 years before moving to Needville in 1992. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and S.P.J.S.T. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Annie T. Susan; his parents, Joseph Susan and Frances Kasparek Susan; a sister, Celia Susan; and a brother, Alfred Susan. Mr. Susan is survived by daughters, Gloria Ann Hebert and her husband, Joseph Edward, of Houston, Genevieve Vrana and her husband, Hank, of Houston, Rose Marie Britton of Houston; sisters, Gertrude Lile of Sherman, Annie Balis of Richmond, Vlasta Frenzel and her husband, Reuben, of Richmond; brothers, Edwin Susan and his wife, Winifred, of Needville, Otto Susan and his wife, Margaret, of Needville; grandchildren, Teresa Marie Ebert, Mark Steven Hebert, Sharon Renee Hebert, Deborah Annette Vrana, Pamela Kaye Vrana, David Allen Britton, Richard Wayne Britton, Michael Edward Britton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Tues., June 24, at the Davis Chapel, 9302 Church St., Needville. (409) 793-6141. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.
