Louis (Thomas Lewis) McGehee was the son of Samuel McGehee, Jr. (b: 17 Jun 1790 in Georgia d: 21 Oct 1866 in Amite County, Mississippi) and Sarah Ferguson ( b: 28 Jun 1794 in South Carolina d: 18 Jan 1814 in Amite County, Mississippi). Louis McGehee was the grandson of Samuel McGehee, Sr. (b: 23 Jun 1759, Prince Edward Co, VA d: c. 7 May 1821, Amite Co, MS) and Olivia Muse (b: ca. 1760, Prince Edward Co, VA d: 5 May 1850, Amite Co, MS). Louis (Lewis) McGehee married Elizabeth Ann Lundy (b: 14 Oct 1828 in Amite County, Mississippi d: 20 Jul 1847 in Amite County, Mississippi) on 20 Jul 1847 in Amite County, Mississippi. After the death of Elizabeth Ann Lundy McGehee, Louis (Lewis) married Elizabeth Dykes. Louis McGehee was a Lieutenant in Company L, 4th Mississippi Calvary, during the Civil War.
