Orr, 81, of 3508 Austin, will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Sorrells & Sons Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Mike Walker and John Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park. Mr. Orr died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1894 in Lee County, Virginia to Charlie and Laura Hall Orr. He was married to Glady (sic) Puryear on July 22, 1916. He was a retired farmer and of the Methodist faith. Furvivors (sic) are three sons, Robert Orr, Jr., Charles Orr, both of Greenville, and James Orr of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Deward O'Neil and Mrs. Avon Barker, both of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Landrum of Greenville and Mrs. Mae Smith of Brawley, Calif three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 20, 1949, and a brother, Jimmy Orr, in January of 1958. Pallbearers will be Ray Felty, Bill Puryear, Earl Landrum, Gerald Landrum, Raymond Deaton and Tommy Castle.
