Barker, 79, of Greenville died Thursday at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Barker was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Hunt County, the daughter of Robert R. and Gladys Puryear Orr. She was a seamstress for Greenville Pant Manufacturing for 32 years and a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Charles Orr of Greenville and James Orr of Dallas; sister, Pearl O'Neill of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Barker; brother, Robert Orr Jr.; and sister, Tommie Lee Orr. Pallbearers are Ron Orr, Shane Tarpley, Brett Tarpley, Fred McWhorter and Danny Burns.
