Funeral services will be held at Peters Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bill Shaddux (sic) and Rev. Larry Combs officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. before the services. Charlie was born on September 25, 1925 in Hunt County to Robert Ransom and Alpha Gladys Puryear Orr. He married Martha Elliott on March 18, 1955 in Greenville. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Lone Star Gas where he worked for 42 years. He was also a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha of Greenville; a son, Ron and Danna Orr of Benbrook; a granddaughter, Emily Ann Orr; a sister, Pearl O'Neil of Greenville; a brother, James Orr of Dallas; a sister-in-law, Lois Orr of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Avon Barker; a brother, Robert Orr. Ford Molen, Billy Miles, Joel Arnold, Danny Burns, and Mike Gray will serve as pallbearers.
