KOPECKY, Victor L., 75, of 1407 Ave. F, Bay City, died Sunday in a Houston hospital. Funeral services set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Joseph Barton, pastor of the Czech Brethren Church of Taylor, Tex., will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Hawley Cemetery , under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Kopecky was a retired cafe owner. He is a lifelong resident of the county and moved to Bay City from El Maton in 1945. He was a member of the SPJST Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Kopecky of Bay City; three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Gates of Bay City, Mrs. Oleine Nedbalek of Houston and Mrs. Helen Smith of Pineland; two sons, Gus A. Kopecky of Houston and Virgil Kopecky of Bay City; four sisters, Mrs. Tracy Baggett and Mrs. Agnes Boston of Pasadena, Mrs. Lillian Flint of Bay City and Mrs. Vlesta Domorad of Palacios; three brothers, Charles Kopecky of Round Rock, John Kopecky and Joe Kopecky of El Maton; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
