DECATUR HERALD DECEMBER 24 1950 WILLIAM M. RAY DIES: Former resident here, William M.Ray, 78 of Sullivan, a former resident of Macon county, died at 3:15 pm, Friday in Decatur and Macon county hospital. Mr.Ray was a Moultrie county farmer. He had lived in Macon county about 28 years, where he was in the grain business near Blue Mound. He also is a former resident of Decatur. He leaves his wife, Dora and a foster son, James H.Ray, Deerfield, Ill., two half brothers Earl and Bearden, both of Decatur and two half sisters, Mrs.Stella Sheeks, Mansfield, Ohio and Mrs.Harriet Roberts of Decatur, also survive. Funeral services for Mr.Ray will be held at 2 pm today at the McMullin funeral home in Sullivan. Burial will be in the Keller cemetery near Lovington.
