Bio
Charles Curtis Long was the son of George W (Jr.) Long and Luella Jane Dorr. Charles was one of three boys: George Jesse; Augustus Benton; and Charles Curtis Long. Obit was found in the "North Platte, (Neb.) Telegraph-Bulletin" on Feb. 1, 1967 on page #15 and reads as follows: "Charles Curtis Long, 80, a life-time area resident and Rancher, died at his home Tuesday night, four miles northeast of North Platte. He was born March 24, 1886 in Lincoln County. Survivors include his wife Sophie; two sons Robert W. Long, North Platte and Charles W. Long of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Adams and Swanson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John N. Slice of the First Lutheran Church officiating.
