Augustus Benton "Ben" Long was the son of George W (Jr.) Long and Luella Jane Dorr. He was one of three children: George Jesse "Jess"; Augustus Benton "Ben"; & Charles Curtis "Curt" Long. 1885 Census, Hall Precinct, Lincoln County, Nebraska, shows the George Long family.
