Bio

George W (Jr.) Long was the son of George (Sr) Long and a Mary Ann Unknown. George W (Jr.) Long was one of six children: Frank Marion; Jim; Elizabeth Ellen; Joseph Edwin; Robert Jefferson; and Geroge W (Jr.) Long. Robert Jefferson Long is buried in Winigan, Missouri. The other brothers and sisters are unknown where they are buried at this time. Obit was found in the North Platte (Neb.) "Daily Telegraph", March 2, 1925, Monday, Page #2, and reads as follows: "Mr. George Long Dies -- Mr. George Long, aged 76, one of North Platte's oldest settlers, passed away Saturday evening at the Long ranch north of this city. He came to this county in the early part of the seventies and has made it his home since that time. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Jess, Curtis and Benton. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Jess Long home north of this city, Rev. Ray, officiating.
