Fort Bend Herald, July 3, 2018: Theresa Ann Novak Todd, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018. She was the fifth of 16 children, born in Fayetteville, TX, on July 25, 1933 to the late John W. and Julia (Chovanec) Novak. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA. She had previously lived in Lafayette, LA for 38 years, and she retired from Todd Pump & Specialty, the company that she and her husband founded there. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and crocheting hangers. She was also very proud of her participation in the Great American Road Race, from California to Pennsylvania, with her husband in their 1936 Ford. She was known for her warm and generous spirit amongst her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 42 years, James W. Todd. She is survived by her daughter Theresa (Chip) Blair, of Baton Rouge, LA, and her son James (Staci) Todd, of Missouri City, TX; grandchildren Lisa (Ryan) Mayet, Lori Blair, Chase Blair, all of Baton Rouge, and Nicholas Todd, David Todd, and Allison Todd, all of Missouri City. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 8 am to 9 am, with a Rosary at 9 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am, also at St Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville. Burial immediately after at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenburg. Her family is especially grateful to Sunrise Senior Living on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge for their patience and loving care while she was a resident for the past 6 years, and also to Hospice of Baton Rouge for her continued comfort these last few weeks.
