Bio
Houston came to Collin County, Texas, in 1872, with his paremts, George Hammond Shrader and Mary Inez Gibbs Shrader and nine other brothers and sisters: William Henry Harrison Shrader; Elvira Florence Shrader Bryan Howell & son, Samuel Lee Bryan; George Washington (Buck) Shrader; Mary Frances (Frank) Shrader Tarpley; James Knox Polk Shrader; Martha Elizabeth Shrader; Virginia Lee Shrader Early; Tennessee Catherine (Tennie) Shrader Mathers; Fountain Pitt Shrader; and after they arrived in Collin County, Daniel Booker Shrader. They were members of the Methodist Church in Frisco. Houston became a Methodist minister who traveled around until he finally settled in Corsicana. On 10 June 1886, he married Ruby Anne Emmeline Clementine Edgar. Their children: John Hammond Shrader (abt 1890), Allie Edgar Shrader, Halcyon Rebecca Shrader (15 Oct 1897). At this time, Ruby Anne and Halcyon are also known to be buried in Restland Memorial Park. Houston spent most of his adult life living in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX.
